Genre: Music Video
Director: Jason Lupish
Cinematographer: Erica Sherwood
Producer: Jason Lupish & Beth Moore
Productions Notes: Shot over two days in Niagara Falls, this video was a result of Beth and Jay wanting to work together again after the production of So Far So Good. Jason and Beth decided to pick a weekend and shoot her second video, and the result was The Road. Erica Sherwood was quickly brought on board to shoot the video after expressing much interest in Beth’s music. So, on November 7th, 2009 Jason, Beth and Erica ventured out onto the back roads of Niagara Falls to shoot the first part of the video, Beth walking down the road singing the lyrics to the song. “Originally we wanted her carrying her guitar case, and dragging her microphone cable behind her as she walked down this dirt road.” says Lupish. “But we quickly realized how ridiculous it looked to have her singing into a microphone that wasn’t plugged in, plus it was just a nightmare for Beth to carry all that stuff, it was getting in the way.” The next day, they got a band together which consisted of two members of Beth’s band, Bass player Joe Stracuzzi, and drummer Bob Goodall, along with Beth’s brother Brad Moore (singer of the band Citizen) filling in for the missing guitar player. After an afternoon of shooting in the unusually hot November weather, the video was in the can.
